How we build

Look up. That is the difference.

A tiki hut is only as good as the frame and the thatch you cannot see from the street. Ours is built to be looked at from underneath.

Solid cypress posts and beams, set for Florida weather, Gulf side or Atlantic.
Thatch laid by hand in tight, even courses, tied to every rafter.
Built on site, to your footprint, with the details finished the day we leave.

Specialty builds. Real hand-laid palm thatch is our standard, and it is what most jobs get. Where a project calls for something else, whether that is commercial fire ratings, an exposed coastal site, or HOA and code requirements, we also build with the most advanced synthetic thatch available, upon request. Same craftsmanship, an engineered material where the job demands it.

Our Story

Two builders, one obsession with paradise

Mai Tiki Huts is a small crew that does one thing well. You deal with the people who build it, from the first walk-through to the last tie on the roof.

Family-owned, and more than one generation of it. This is a family business. The people you meet on the walk-through are the same family that founded it, builds it, and answers the phone after. We plan to be here for the next one too.
